About six months ago I added Nutritional Cleansing to the services I offer as a Hypnotherapist and now I'm in Network Marketing. Your e-mail arrived just after I hosted a great call for my team last night on the subject of creating abundance.

Last night Beverly Taylor shared her process for initiating us into abundance and this morning I got this e-mail from an old sales mentor of mine, Eric Lofholm. When I first became a Hypnotherapist I took a year long sales training class from Eric to learn to love my inner salesman and be better able to share my services with clients.

Email Eric Received This Week
Let me back up a moment and share that I had hoped to have success but it seemed out of my grasp. Almost everyone that I knew said they felt I should be successful but success had seemed to allude me.
Within 7 days of attending the close I had an interview and was told I was the best candidate they had ever interviewed. I knew then that the shift I was looking for had begun as I had began to apply what I learned from Eric at the close seminar.
The one thing that I noticed that was different from Eric is his ability to connect with people and bring out their gifts. At the Close seminar I heard the success of his students and how they went from barely making it to blowing past the goals they had set for themselves. This is what I really wanted and needed but my belief that it could happen to me was low.
In the following days I began to ponder Eric’s offer of entering into a mentoring relationship with him. The program I was thinking of was the platinum protégé program. He had a great lifelong training program called the protégé program but my concern was I didn’t want to purchase a system that I may or may not use. In Platinum Protégé I was going to be held accountable to my goals. I knew the program worked, but the subconscious fear was, “ would I fail in a proven system.” Or my self talk said to myself “ will you be the factor that keeps yourself in failure.” Not only was I fearful of self sabotage but money was a major issue.
Dr. Donald Moine says that “ sales is the hardest low paying job, and sales is the easiest high paying job. My income was very low and with my mortgages I actually had more going out than I had coming in. There was no way I could afford to pay for this program. But here is what I did, rather than keep myself where I was I made a phone call to Eric. I explained my financial situation and I told him my story of what I couldn’t afford. Eric shared he could clearly understand my situation but he said this is what I have learned. “ When you are in a stressful financial situation focus on money making activities, not on your money problems. You get what you focus on!”
So I took a leap of faith and entered the Platinum Protégé Program. As a member of this program I had access to the protégé program as well. So I was able to access this content anywhere I chose by bringing it on my IPOD. But here is what happened. Within 60 days of making the decision. I was able to double my income, not once but consistently every month.
What happened next is even more exciting, I double my income again and have made that my new baseline. My current goal to achieve this year is to get my income to 10 times what it was before I joined the platinum protégé. It looks as if I am on my way to fultill that goal.
The other thing that has dramatically changed is my belief and confidence in my abilities. I now know I will always perform at this level or higher. I have dramatically increased the results that I have dealing with clients and prospects. When I pick up the phone it is light and I can’t wait to have a powerful conversation. My abilities to lead and train others have been transformed. I have been acknowledged by professional sales people and have had two articles written about my sales results.
So if you were to ask me what you ought to do, the question you should ask yourself is not how much it costs to be in the program, but how much it is costing each and every month to not get the training and the accountability you need. If you are fed up with how things are in your life right now then take action to bring yourself to where you always have wanted to be.
A few weeks ago you had a Protégé call on Objection Handling- a very interesting call and some of your responses really made me laugh so I decided to try them. While I am sure you didn’t mean to use ALL of them in the same meeting, I figured, what the heck!
As you know I am a Wedding Photographer and my usual presentation ends with a very weak close where I ask which package best suits their needs then I let them leave the table to discuss it and hopefully call me back in a few days, or as it turns out, when ever they get around to it- not too bright.
The week following your call I had three appointments. I’m new in a small town and had nothing to loose (what, 3 in 34,224?), so when we came to the close I asked for their business. It went something like this:
Q- “Are you ready to move forward?”
Groom- “That’s a lot of money.”
Q-“Compared to what?”
Groom- “We really don’t have that kind of money?”
Q- “Why not?”
Bride- “I’m not working and he just got a new position as a Park Ranger.”
Q- “Who do you know that has the money? Perhaps they would like to invest in you.”
Groom- “Well, we were going to ask my mom but she is disabled and on a limited budget.”
Q- “You mentioned you have an interest in sports, what do you have that you could sell?”
Groom- “Oh, I already sold the Baseball cards, to buy the ring”.
Q- “Who do you know that loves you? “(while looking at the bride)
Q- “WHAT ABOUT YOUR MOM?”
Groom- (looks at his fiancé)- How about your grandma?
I then did something I have seen used a million times but never put into practice until now- I gave them a 10% discount if they made the commitment by 5PM on the third day (and I wrote the date and time on the contract- then initialized it!).
Amazing, on the second day they were leaving frantic calls as they had found the money and wanted to get the discount. Mind you, these weddings were all between $3500-$5800 each and for dates 12-18 months out.

Imagine depleting your savings, maxing out your credit cards and not being able to refinance your home because of the declining real estate market. You are making payments on your bills timely, but calendaring what is remaining in the checking account, you know it is a matter of time, when your “financial house of cards” will be tumbling down. This was the shaky financial state where my husband and I were in October 2006. This was very scary for us. We were the strong and stable ones of our families. We were the ones family came to for help, now we needed assistance and fast. This was the processional effect that resulted from when I got over confident upon receiving my real estate license and quit my well paid full time job in October of 2004. “I had high ethics and great customer service capabilities. I would be one of the better Realtors. I would be one that is successful. I never fail at anything I try to accomplish!
Ay, yay, yay!”
I thought I had found a good mentor in our Realtor, who was also an ex-worker of my engineer husband’s. Actually, she was really good at throwing me out to the wolves. She had me sign up my first buyer by myself, completing the contracts half informed, monitoring a home inspection with a blank notepad from start to finish and closing the deal, not knowing much more than I did at the beginning. My (learning) bell curve was a gong! The next two years was a big struggle!
By October 2006, my reality was, we did not know if there would be cookies and milk for Santa for Christmas. I was struggling not to be part of the California Department of Real Estate Statistic, of agents getting out of the Real Estate business within the first two years of being a licensee.

After I attend an Eric Lofholm seminar, whether it is free or I pay a registration fee, days and days later, I am a walking - talking bill board advertisement for his company and programs. I attended my first Eric Lofholm seminar, The Close, on December 4th, 2006. Only six months later, already I have amazing results to share!
The beginning of my connection with Eric and his programs was actually like the end for me, the “deep end”. My husband and I both work and made good money. He is an electrical engineer. I worked as a supervisor in the real estate mortgage department at a local credit union and trying to build a business for my self in the mortgage and real estate fields on a part time basis. My husband and I were constantly helping our extended families financially. We also have two sons, and a nephew who is like a son to us. We enjoy spoiling them. We had them in professional musical theater productions, provided them with new violins for school orchestras and private music lessons. Not to mention, providing them of every game systems and accessories. We were paying for our nephew’s college education at San Diego State University. I attended Eric’s free “Close Seminar” on December 4th, with little expectations, but high in hopes of a “tipping point”. The moment he talked, “I got it!” Eric will often say, “Move at the speed of instructions”, so I did. I understood what he had to share and I acted on it. That day, I signed up for a year long $299 Protégé Program, a one on one weekly coaching session. A couple of weeks later, not quite sure how to pay for it, I upgraded to the “Platinum Protégé Program”. Even though, I did not have cash, I knew what the value of the program would bring.
One of Eric’s famous quotes is, “The universe rewards those who take action differently from those who do not”. Indeed, the universe rewarded! Upon registering for the Platinum Protégé Program, I was assigned to a wonderful personal coach, Kris Thompson! Kris not only listened to what I wanted, but most importantly, what I did not want, which was, to no longer work long hours at the credit union. Kris said make it a goal to quit by February, and here it was the middle of January! I told Kris, “great idea”, however, in my head I said, “What, are you crazy, my husband will kick me to the curb!”
Actually, Kris was not crazy at all. He knew what he was saying and encouraging was very possible. Kris connected me with a recruiter associate. She forwarded my resume to Mountain Trust Mortgage and Realty Services, a company with similar business model, philosophy and credit union background as myself. They signed me up as an agent. They said I was the best candidate interview ever! I had a business plan, marketing strategies and tactics and systems to put in place. These items were prepared because they were homework and exercises from my Platinum Protégé coaching program! My start at Mountain Trust Mortgage and Realty Services was a boost of immediate success (the universe rewards those who take action differently from those who do not). They provided me with office leads so that I was able to make money right away and obtain valuable training. I became the top loan officer my first month! One distinction that Eric teaches is, ”success is a team sport”. I am very glad that Eric and Kris are my team coaches!
The number distinction that Eric teaches is to “stay in the conversation”. Going to seminars is passing. Over time, the information you obtained, passes through your mind, and then it is gone. With Eric’s coaching programs, there is constant communication through emails, partner coaching calls, weekly training calls, monthly coaching calls, Pod cast of training calls, invitations to live events for future opportunities and recorded videos and CDs. The coaching program maintains the momentum and the effectiveness of the messages to keep you focus and on track in achieving your goals and dreams. I am still a work in process, however, I would not be where I am today, if I did not team up with Eric Lofholm International and his wonderful team.
