A Masterful Sales Presentation and the Sales Script Techniques Used

clubtukiI am in Las Vegas attending CEO Space and saw a powerful sales presentation using sales script techniques.  Tonight I participated in a breakout session led by Greg Writer.  Greg is behind the safe internet browser for kids called http://www.clubtuki.com/

I have had the privilege in my career to be around some of the best sales and marketing people in the world.  Tonight Greg blew me away.

Greg gave a small group of us a presentation about his company.  In this blog post I am going to point out some of the sales script techniques Greg used.

He started off the presentation by telling his story.  Greg is a very likable guy and the story bonded me to Greg and his company.

He then educated us why the world needs a web browser that is safe for kids.  Part of selling is education.  I immediately wanted one of his web browsers because I have a 7 year old son, Brandon, and a 4 year old daughter, Sarah.  Greg pointed out the consequences of not taking action which are that my kids could end up viewing sexually explicit web content or worse communicate with a sexual predator online.

In educating us he shared a video of Oprah Winfrey agreeing that kids need to be safe online.  This technique is called third party endorsement.  This means someone other than you that makes the point you want to make for you.

He then shared some of the joint ventures he has already done on the project.  The list of people he has done joint ventures with is impressive.  The list includes:  DreamWorks (Think Shrek), Crime Dog McGruff, and Loral Langemeier.  This created credibility in his project.

He then walked us through a form where we could let him know if we were interested in supporting the project.  The purpose of the presentation was to generate leads and to get people excited about supporting his project.

Think Through your Presentation from Start to Finish!

The last tip I will share with you is he thought through the entire presentation from start to finish.  Did it work?  Well, I am writing this blog post because he got me enthused about his project.  Re-read this blog post and look for ways you can incorporate these ideas in your sales scripts.
