I was on a panel where the topic was How to Sell in the New Economy.  The panel was Chet Holmes, Brian Tracy, John Carlton, Dave Lakhani, Christine Comaford, and me.  I was given 10 minutes to share my best ideas on how to sell in the new economy.

The best idea I shared at the Sang Conference was to make a list of potential joint venture, strategic alliance, and referral partners.

Once you have the list select the top 4 relationships.

Contact those 4 people to schedule an appointment to discuss how you can support each other.

When I made my list the top 4 people were Brian Klemmer (www.klemmer.com), Loral Langemeier (www.liveoutloud.com), Berny Dohrmann (www.ceospace.net) and Alex Mandossian (www.alexmandossian.com).

I reached out to each of them.

Since reaching out to them here is what has happened over the last 90 days.

Brian Klemmer has become my mastermind partner.

Berny Dohrmann has put me on faculty of CEO Space.

Loral and I taught a seminar together.

Alex and I have agreed to have dinner together.

Take action on this idea.  It is a winner.

Make your list today!

Select your top 4 relationships.

Reach out to them to request an appointment.

Look for ways you can support each other.

You have greatness inside of you!  You have untapped potential that is ready to be realized now.  October 1 is a special day.

It is special because it is the first day of the 4th quarter.

On October 1 we all get a clean slate.

October is a blank canvass.  You can create whatever you want.

The key to having a great sales month is MASSIVE ACTION.

This is not a time to slow down.  This is a time to speed up!

There is a concept called collapsing time frames.  One way of looking at this idea is for you to take 3 months worth of action in 1 month.  This is what I am going to do in October.

The best way to have a great 2010 is to end 2009 strong.

My intention is to have my greatest business month ever!

Here are some additional tips to have a great month:

Set goals for October.  Take 10 minutes right now to write down your October goals.  Email them to me at wins@ericlofholm.com.  If you email me your goals I will send you my advanced report that contains 77 sales scripting ideas.  This report is HOT.  You will love it.

Choose to have a great attitude during October.

Make a decision to change 1 bad habit during October.

In college football one idea is to play all out for the full 60 minutes.  There are 22 business days in October.  Commit to giving it your best effort until the final day of the month.

Identify the one project, then when completed, will provide you the most value.  Then complete that project in October.  That project for me is my sales book.

Use my words and phrases above as a template to create your own list of words and phrases that you can view on a daily basis to motivate you!  Move at the speed of instruction.  Take action on this idea and you will be instantly motivated and take more action.

There are many reasons you might not be achieving the level of success you are capable of. One of the reasons people under-perform is because they have a low self-esteem. And, in fact, low self-esteem can be a sales career killer.

If you want to increase your results, you need to raise your self-esteem. Begin to view yourself as even more successful than you have been. Start conditioning your mind that you will increase your income.

One of the reasons you may have a low self-esteem is that your believe may be holding you back!

What are your limiting beliefs? Which beliefs are holding you back from achieving your goals?

Here is a short list of limiting beliefs that may hold you back:

-I am not experienced enough.
-I don’t have a college degree.
-I am too old.
-I don’t have any money.
-I don’t have any time.

Make a list of your limiting beliefs. Once you have done that cross out each limiting belief and write next to it an empowering belief. For example: Instead of saying “I am too old”. Say, “With each passing day I gain valuable wisdom that will help me.”

Cross out each Limiting Belief and Write an Empowering Belief!

Take the time to create powerful, positive affirmations and read them each and every day.

If you take these steps, you will conquer the limiting beliefs which hold you back.
